I’ve found my headphone soulmates.
After years of headphones that performed badly (iPhone), looked average (sorry Sennheiser for Adidas) or just weren’t suited to the job (what was I thinking with House of Marley over-ears on a treadmill?!) I have finally found the ones for me. They’re the Run Free Pro earphones from Soul Electronics and – not to overstate things here – they changed my life.
I go through phases with music and exercise. Sometimes I’m quite content to take in the sounds of nature/Sydney traffic as I tackle the streets, and other times I need a strong beat to stop me from throwing myself on the ground in a fit of OH-MY-GOD-I-HATE-RUNNING-WHY-DO-I-DO-THIS rage.
For those rage-filled moments I now have the Run Free Pro. These bad boys are wireless, using Bluetooth technology to pump my fave songs right when and where they’re needed. They’re super quick to pair with your device and you get up to eight hours playtime before you’ll need to charge them! I’ve found that they block out most of the surrounding noises too, without leaving me feeling vulnerable or like someone could creep up behind me without me noticing (very important when I’m running alone early in the morning).
They come in a super-cool hard-shell case with a bunch of difference sized earpieces – so you’re bound to find something that fits. And you can reverse them to wear as an over-ear style if you prefer (although I didn’t find this way nearly as comfortable).
I’ve been wearing these since before the Gold Coast Airport Marathon 10km race earlier this month, and I really mean it when I say that these are the bee’s knees. And at $129.99 they’re actually pretty well priced too – even better when you consider the 25% discount you’ll get if you order by the end July ’15 using code LAZYGIRL25.
You are welcome.
p.s I was gifted these headphones, but this review is 100% authentic and all thoughts are (as always) my honest opinion. The earphones are JUST – THAT – GOOD. Buy them.
