As anyone who has been following this blog for a while can attest, I go through phases of desperately trying to be a yogi. I mean, I WANT to like yoga. I understand the benefits, I know my body needs it, lots of people I know love it… but my god I find it a struggle to get through an entire class without my brain exploding….
When you’re really passionate about something, hanging around other people who are passionate about the same something is pretty exciting. For me, the something is fitness and health. So two somethings really, but in my life they’re so closely intertwined that I think they can count as one….
The BOSU ball is right up there with my favourite pieces of equipment, but due to its kind-of-annoying size and shape I don’t get to pull it out and play with it very often (seriously, try squeezing it plus kettlebells, mats, medicine balls and battle ropes into the boot of your car sometime)….
Most of us don’t make the most of our workout time, whether we like to admit it to ourselves or not. Maybe we don’t go in with a clear plan, maybe the gym is too crowded, maybe someone else is using the equipment we need… plenty of factors can impact the quality of our sessions….
