My dedication to Lululemon is no secret. In fact, if Lulu was a man, I’d make him a playlist of our favourite love songs, pack a romantic picnic and take him down to the beach where my marriage proposal would be written in the sky above us as I popped the cork on a bottle of champers.
Sadly, Lulu is not a man, so I’ll have to find other ways to show my dedication – like purchasing pretty much everything from the new summer ‘run’ line, hitting stores later this month. This year, the line is all about colour and fun prints – everything you could possibly need to inspire you to get outside and enjoying the glory of summer!
Now I know you’re busy, so I’ve selflessly taken the time to inspect the new range and put together my top picks (even for you, men-folk)
WOMEN
Run: Inspire Crop II ($119)
I own five pairs of these. They are my absolute favourite tights for running, the gym and everything in between. The fabric is moisture wicking, which basically means your skin will stay cool and dry while you’re out working up a sweat. They have a good sized pocket in the back (I easily fit my house keys and credit card in there) and come in a range of colours. If you don’t own any of these, you don’t know what you’re missing out on.
Run Swiftly Headband ($15)
This is the easiest way to add a little pop of colour to your workout outfit. Plus it’s practical – no one likes flyaway hair getting in their eyes while they’re running! It’s got silicone on the inside to keep the headband in place, and the Silverescent fabric keeps it smelling sweet as can be!
Run Warm Up Crew ($99)
OK so I don’t own this yet, but I will. It’s the perfect warm up top for cooler mornings or evenings – moisture wicking (of course) with mesh paneling under the arms and a long zipper in the back so it’s easy to slip on and off. It’s also got reflective detailing to help you stay visible AND it’s super cute!
Run: Swiftly Racerback ($59)
The more I wear this top, the more I love it. The moisture wicking fabric is SUPER light, so it’s perfect for the long hot summer days ahead of us. Anywhere there are seams they are flat and engineered to reduce chafing, and again you’ll find this one coming out in some super sweet colours. Plus, I think a racerback is one of the most flattering cuts going around.
Run Track Attack Short ($65)
The funky pattern alone had me salivating over these shorts (slightly awkward), so by the time I noticed the chafe-resistant flat seams, moisture-wicking fabric, wide waistband and lightweight liner I was pretty much sold. Resistance is futile.
MEN
Metal Vent Tech Short Sleeve ($79)
Men are shtinky, particularly when they run. The best way to combat the shtink is with this lightweight, moisture-wicking top. It’s made from breathable, seamless Silverescent, with mesh venting in all of the high-sweat areas. I know a couple of shtinky men who wear this, and they give it two thumbs up!
Precise Short ($69)
These bad boys are made from moisture-wicking, chafe-resistant, breathable, reflective material – pretty much the only thing they can’t do is run for you. You’ll find pockets for your keys and gels, and while they might be a little shorter than the shorts you’re used to, I think it’s a great excuse to show off your quads.
* Hang onto your hats, these products will be hitting stores from late October through to end of November

I have that warm up crew in all black and everyone always asks if it’s on backwards because of the big zipper in the back
Haha I love it – it’s a conversation starter AND a warm up top!
I think I may be mistaken, but the Mosaic Track Attack shorts may have been released in August for Sea Wheeze the print, seen here: http://mysuperficialendeavors.blogspot.com/2013/08/lululemon-seawheeze-track-attack-skirt.html & more specifically, the shorts seen in another blogger’s haul picture here http://luluaddict.blogspot.com/2013/08/sea-wheeze-half-marathon-race-report_14.html. I suppose it could be a re-release?
Hi there, thanks for your comment! From what I can see, the sites/blogs you are referring to are US/Canadian sites (that’s my guess judging by the spelling). I’m in Australia, where this range is yet to be released – we’re a touch behind you guys over here!
Ah, nice, actually, sometimes, these blogs feature Australian sneak peeks, where they search your Lululemon websites for new releases to predict the Spring season. Thanks for your reply.
