What a weekend! Between Christmas catch-ups, play dates with Lucy and Panda the gorgeous greyhounds, the beginning of the Advent Calendar Challenge and my first visit to UFC Gym Sydney, I am EXHAUSTED. Lucky for you (unlucky for you?) not too exhausted to put together another good old LGF workout for you to partake in.
I’ve got 1001 ideas up my sleeve, but unfortunately no time to take photos or videos of more complicated exercises… so that means we’re going back to basics this week! Without further ado I bring you…
Tabata of Terror
Round 1: Tabata High knees
2 minutes rest
Round 2: Tabata burpees of your choice
2 minutes rest
Round 3: Tabata mountain climbers
2 minutes rest
Round 4: Tabata squat/jumps
2 minutes rest
Round 5: Tabata bicycle
Tabata is serious HIIT business so take heed people – this workout is not for the faint of heart. It is, however, for anyone wanting to send their heart rate skyrocketing and burn copious amounts of calories. Tabata-whaa? Get the lowdown HERE.
The Tabata of Terror is so quick that even those with the fullest of social calendars can fit it in – and so horrid that all who attempt it will curse me forever.
Enjoy!
p.s As always, it’s a good idea to consult your doctor before commencing any new exercise regime. This one is particularly heart-pounding, so play it safe!

Hi Jess, I found your blog while doing research for my new studio in crows nest http://www.purespin.com.au. Our focus is spin, but we’ll be running HIIT sessions as well. Why don’t you come and try us out when we open in February – we’d love to get your feedback. Richard
Hi Richard, website looks great – I’d love to check out the studio when you’re up and running. Let’s keep in touch and chat soon! Jess
