Firstly, Merry Merry MERRY Christmas! Secondly, do not curse me for posting a workout on Christmas Day. I PROMISE I am not trying to guilt you into working out on this glorious occasion, I’m not even suggesting I’ll do it myself. I am merely providing you with a quick workout that can be slotted in between courses SHOULD YOU SO NEED IT to (hopefully) avoid the customary undoing of the top button on your shorts.
The ‘Say Yes to Two Serves of Christmas Pudding’ Workout
[20 secs on – 10 secs rest]
Push up with row
Mountain climbers
Chest-to-ground burpees
Butterfly situps
{repeat four times}
Easiest way to do this is with a Tabata timer – just run through two Tabatas consecutively! I’ve kept it pretty darn simple today, so you can focus on the more important things… like opening presents!
Doesn’t matter where you do this workout – the backyard, on a balcony or next to the Christmas tree – you’re a mere eight minutes away from feeling a little more comfortable with that second serving of pudding you wanted.
p.s I wouldn’t suggest doing this workout on a full tummy. Christmas ham is never as festive on the way back up.
p.p.s Do this as many times as you like throughout the day! An eight minute workout is far more pleasant than slipping into a food coma!
