If you’d asked me a year ago to compile a list of my most hidden, depths-of-my-soul dreams, I don’t think I would have even been game enough to write ‘magazine feature and photo shoot’. But somehow, somewhere, someone is shining down on me, because recently I had the incredible good fortune to be part of exactly that with the fabulous team from Cosmopolitan magazine.
If you’ve been following LGF for a while, you’ll know that as a PT I am a passionate believer in simple, effective workouts that don’t cost you the world in time, coordination or money. Through the blog (and potentially some other avenues down the track) I want to arm you with the tools you need to ensure that working out is as enjoyable and achievable as possible. It seems that Cosmo are thinking along the same lines too, as they proposed a feature, well, featuring, three women who have had great results working out at home. I am one of those women!
So six weeks ago (on the day I arrived back from my whirlwind trip to Las Vegas) I jumped straight in my car and headed off for a photo shoot with uber-cool Fashion Director Nicole Adolphe and the rest of the talented team from Cosmo. It was totally unlike anything I’ve ever done before. I know, I know, some people do this for a living and maybe it gets boring, but for me it was an amazing experience. I have never looked so good in my Lululemon and I just wish I could have taken Amelia Axton (makeup artist) AND Kristina Soljo (photographer) home with me.
Anyway. Cosmo has very kindly lent me a few of the shots so I can post them on here and brag a little about how cool I am. Seriously though, I’m pretty cool right?
Can I just tell you, it’s really hard to smile while you’re working out.
Now go and buy the July issue of Cosmo. The article is great, I’m on page 154 and Katy Perry is owning the cover like this:
Lots of lots of love Team, and thanks for coming along for the ride.
p.s If we haven’t done so already, let’s hang out on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and maybe even Pinterest?
