Oh boy, this seems to have come around so fast! Just two more sleeps until we open the doors on Sydney’s first ever Vitality Show and I can’t wait! It really is shaping up to be the definitive ladies’ day out, with pampering, nutrition, fun, retail therapy, champagne and – of course – FITNESS!
There are three stages for you to check out over the course of the weekend:
The Canon Main Stage – think specialist workshops, unique demonstrations, dance performances and celeb appearances.
Empowerment Stage – nourish your mind, learn to clear life obstacles and come away with a wealth of wisdom on health, wellness and empowering yourself.
Fitness & Yoga Zone – this is the place to participate in activities that will get your blood circulating and endorphins flowing. Don’t forget your gym gear!
Cooking and Nutrition Stage – live cooking demonstrations, delicious recipes and tasting sessions. Sign me up immediately.
I’ll be taking to the stage on Saturday at 4.45pm in the Fitness & Yoga Zone, plus there are plenty of other awesome sessions to catch. Here’s my pick of the lot:
FRIDAY
2-2.30pm – Cooking & Nutrition Stage – The Fit Foodie – my girl Sal will take you through some simple, nourishing chocolate recipes that you can enjoy guilt-free and won’t have you compromising on taste.
6-6.30pm – Empowerment Stage – Susie Burrell – learn to take control of your food and weight, and how to care for your body while maintaining a happy, healthy and busy life.
6-6.30pm – Fitness & Yoga Zone – Libby Babet – Libby is the founder of Bottoms Up Fitness and Agoga in Bondi and an absolute legend! She’s an amazing trainer, incredibly knowledgeable and one of the nicest chicks you’re ever likely to meet. She’s running a workout and I guarantee it will be brilliant.
SATURDAY
10.30-11am – Main Stage – Live Moral Maze – an honest and intimate discussion about a range of women’s issues. Featuring Chris Bath, Nedahl Stelio, Jo Lamble and Karen Lawson.
12.15-12.45pm – Empowerment Stage – Ann Molloy – learn how therapeutic journalling can help you deal with grief, boosting your health and happiness..
2.40-3.10pm – Cooking & Nutrition Stage – Pete Evans – Paleo king, celebrity chef, TV star – this guy can do anything. Don’t miss his cooking demo for an insight into his philosophy and approach to food.
4-4.30pm – Fitness & Yoga Zone – Sammy Veall – Sammy is one of the ambassadors of Vitality, and the founder of Yoga 213 in Melbourne and Sydney, yoga set to hip hop beats.
4.45-5.15pm – Fitness & Yoga Zone – Jess Robinson – yeah…. I’m putting myself on this list! My session is going to start with a quick look into the results of a recent ‘barriers to fitness’ survey I conducted, including tips to overcome those barriers. Then it’s up and at ’em for a 15-minute workout suitable for all ages and fitness levels. Yeeew!
SUNDAY
10.30-11am – Main Stage – Krystal Barter, founder of Pink Hope – author and cancer activist sharing her family’s cancer journey.
12.15-12.45pm – Empowerment Stage – Debbie Spellman – Learn how to own your worth as a woman, and how to step out confidently, with self-belief and purpose.
1-1.30pm – Cooking & Nutrition Stage – Dan Churchill – the former Masterchef contestant will show you how to put on a delicious and healthy party feast.
1.45-2.15pm – Fitness & Yoga Zone Retrosweat – think iconic moves from the 80s set to classic grooves, designed to get you sweating and laughing (while building buns of steel).
So that’s it folks – my pick of the bunch. I really REALLY hope to see you there – if you’re attending I order you to come and say hi!
