I am super proud and excited to be writing this post my dear Team.
If you’ve been following me for a while then you’ll know that I’m passionate about bringing health and fitness to the many people out there who may not otherwise be able to access it readily. Whether that’s through lack of confidence, lack of knowledge, lack of money, lack of time or even just not knowing where to start, Lazy Girl Fitness aims to make life that little bit easier for everyone.
Open Colleges Australia has a similar ethos, offering nationally recognised courses that can be all completed online, in your own time and at your own pace. Basically they take the anxiety out of study, which is pretty awesome if you ask me. They have a huge range of courses, from accounting to animal care, design and everything in between, but the most interesting (and relevant) to me is the Cert III and IV in Fitness, both of which are necessary if you want to work as a personal trainer in Australia. They even help you find an assessment centre for your work placement, which is pretty useful.
Anyways, Open Colleges is trying to demystify the health and fitness industry, with a showcase of 18 of Australia’s ‘top fitness experts’, each focusing on a different specialty in the health and fitness arena. AND … they’ve included me. The interviews are really interesting (I promise I’m not just saying that!), with a little sprinkle of individuality from each person to add some flavour. I’m in some pretty awesome company too – from Shannon Ponton to Bruce Ritchie (editor of Men’s Health) and Lee Sutherland, these are people I admire for their passion and dedication.
The showcase is now live and you can check me out HERE and everyone else out HERE.
Have a fab week Team xx
p.s You can follow Open Colleges Australia on Facebook and Twitter too.
Woo hoo! So pleased that your unique, vibrant, motivating and fun approach to fitness has been recognised so publicly. Congratulations – I’m sure we’ll be seeing a lot more of you in the mainstream in 2015! ?
